Iznájar and the surrounding area
The white mountain village of Iznájar is picturesquely situated above Andalusia’s largest reservoir and is one of the region’s most beautiful spots. The surrounding area combines nature, culture and the typical Andalusian way of life – perfect for peaceful days by the water or exciting excursions.

The white village by the reservoir
Just a few minutes’ walk from Casa de Ladera lies the historic village of Iznájar. Its whitewashed houses, small squares and winding streets epitomise the typical image of an Andalusian mountain village.
In the town centre, you’ll find cosy bars, restaurants, small shops, small supermarkets, a bakery, a butcher’s, as well as a pharmacy and a health centre.
Several vantage points offer spectacular views over the reservoir and the surrounding countryside.

The largest reservoir in Andalusia
The Embalse de Iznájar is the largest reservoir in Andalusia and dominates the region’s landscape. On its shores lies the sandy beach of Valdearenas, with restaurants and leisure facilities.
Here, visitors can swim, go kayaking, take a boat trip or simply spend a relaxing day by the water.
